In past applying for a new connection of electricity was a paint-taking process and one should suffer a lot of trouble. But, as now we live in a modern and technology-based era Govt of Pakistan has introduced a centralised and online system for applying new meter connections. Now anyone from any part of the country can apply online for a new connection with a web-based online portal. We can call this system the Electricity New Connection ( ENC ) System.

Required Documents
When a customer wants to apply online for a new connection he must have to upload some documents in JPG or PDF format. Without uploading these documents the application can not be submitted.
The file size must be less than 300kb
After giving our consent and agreeing with the terms of conditions, we submit our application.
After submission of our application, a tracking ID will be generated. Note down this ID as we will need this ID to download our application and demand notice.

Application Tracking

Meter Installation
After the verification of your paid DN, a new meter will be issued with wire and other required accessories. A representative of FESCO will come to install your new meter at your mentioned premises.
The first bill will be served after the reading is done by the meter reader.

Time Required for New Connection Category Wise
FESCO has divided new connections into 3 categories according to the sanctioned load.
Category 1: Load up to 15kW
Category 2: Load from 16 to 70 kW
Category 3: Load from 71 to 500 kW
Now we will enlist a time frame and steps required for each category’s new meter connection.
For Category-1 ( load 1kW-15kW )
Category 1 consumers are those consumers whose sanctioned load is under 15kW. SDO/Assistant Manager Operations concerned will approve the new meter connection request for category 1. The process for Category-1 takes approximately 30 days.

For Category 2 ( Load 16kW-70KW )
Category 2 consists of those consumers whose load is under 16kW to 70kW. DM/XEN concerned will approve the connection request for this category. The process of a connection for this category is approximately the same as Category 1 but it takes more time as compared to Category 1 i.e. can take up to 53 days.
For Category 3 ( Load 71kW-500kW )
Consumers with a load range of 71kW to 500kW fall under Category-3. The concerned operation manager has the authority to approve the connection request for this category.
Its process is the same as Category 1 but takes more time compared to Category 1 and can take up to 73 days.
Change Connection Name/Load/Tariff
Due to a change in the ownership of the property ( whether from sale or purchase ), we need to change our connection or meter name. Sometimes due to the demise of their father or due to other issues consumers need to change the ownership of their meter or want to transfer their meter to their heirs.
